Training sessions and international collaboration at IHCantabria during the visit of the coordinators of the European project SONATA
Training days at IHCantabria organized in the framework of the European SONATA project
These training sessions have strengthened the collaboration between IHCantabria and the BioSense Institute (Serbia), favoring the transfer of knowledge and best practices in the field of integrated management of European projects.
The Environmental Hydraulics Institute de la Universidad de Cantabria (IHCantabria) has received the visit of the coordinators of the European project SONATA, led by the BioSense Institute (BIOS), during the last week of September.
The objective of these working days was to offer specialized training and to learn first-hand about the operation, tools, organization and resources used by IHCantabria in the management of European projects.
This working visit is part of the SONATA project – “Monitoring of Nature Infrastructure – Skill acquisition for Nature-based Solutions”, a Horizon Europe project, whose purpose is to enhance the technical and organizational capabilities of partner entities in the development of Nature-based Solutions (NBS) and the sustainable management of natural resources.
At this working meeting, the project partners worked on a variety of topics, including European project management guidelines and planning, communication strategies, HR structures and new HR plans and career planning, and visual identity.
Each of the sessions developed has provided valuable information that will help SONATA to optimize project management procedures at BIOS, with the goal of reducing the administrative burden, and creating more space for research and innovation.
Throughout these three days of work, representatives of the BioSense Institute have been part of the different activities of the institute, addressing key aspects such as:
- Digital tools and programs used in the planning, execution and monitoring of projects.
- Professional profiles involved in the management and development of international initiatives.
- Cross-cutting support services, including communication, human resources and project planning support.
The team of BioSense Institute (Serbia), and the Environmental Hydraulics Institute of Cantabria Foundation (FIHAC), partners of the SONATA project, have organized these working meetings as part of the activities programmed in the project within the work package 4 of “Knowledge transfer activities”.
