IHCantabria pays tribute to Rosalía Quintana, former secretary of the Board of Trustees of FIHAC
On a cold and rainy day, as if the sky itself mourned her absence, we bid farewell with infinite sadness to Rosalía Quintana, who left us on December 10, 2024, at the age of 62.
As secretary of the Board of Trustees of the Environmental Hydraulics Institute of Cantabria Foundation (FIHAC), Rosalía has been a key member of the Environmental Hydraulics Institute of the University of Cantabria(IHCantabria) since its creation, more than 17 years ago, providing rigor and legal security to each step taken by this Institute.
But Rosalía was not only a rigorous and meticulous lawyer; she was the calm and constant heart that accompanied our growth. Her tireless dedication, her ability to find solutions in the most difficult moments and her humility marked every project in which IHCantabria needed her good work. As the Foundation’s lawyer, her legacy lives on in the hearts of those of us who had the privilege of working with her.
But Rosalia was much more than her accomplishments. She was a loyal friend, a wise counselor and a woman whose strength always inspired those around her. She used to say, “True greatness is in the little things, in the details,” a philosophy she lived fully every day.
Today we are left with her example and legacy, which will continue to guide us. Rosalía will be remembered not only for what she accomplished, but for how she made those of us who were lucky enough to know her feel.
Rest in peace, Rosalia. You will always live in our memories and in our hearts.
