ATHENEA is an integral system for prevention and management of marine pollution from oil operations in the maritime and port environment.
ATHENEA has been implemented in three refineries in Spain belonging to CEPSA: Gibraltar-San Roque (Algeciras), La Rábida (Huelva) and Tenerife (Canary Islands). The system has been validated with drifter buoys exercises carried out under different environmental conditions.
