PROJECTS
HYDRA
HYDRA will focus on how river functioning and service provisioning are affected by hydrological alteration (HA) from dam operation and land use changes. These two factors are nowadays the main sources of hydrological alteration worldwide, and they have serious consequences on biodiversity and on the provisioning of ecosystem services generated within the river system.
SODIN
Floods are the most damaging natural catastrophe in Spain. Risk assesment for coastal and river floods require the compilation of event information in order to systematically analyse the trends and impacts produced.
ECOPROOF
The risk of flooding and erosion is increasing for many coastal areas owing to global and regional changes in climate conditions together with increasing exposure and vulnerability. Conventional coastal engineering solutions based on hard structures are increasingly challenged by the new situation and their rising maintenance costs may become unsustainable under certain projected futures.
TRL+
The general aim of TRL+ is supporting offshore system developers in the pathway from a concept to the market, through all the technology readiness levels (TRL). The main objective of TRL+ is to create innovative and highly competitive services to boost the offshore energy sector to the future market, supporting developers and side industry involved during the whole life cycle of an offshore farm.
DOVICAIM
The DOVICAIM project aims to develop an integrated methodology and the necessary tools to support the entire life cycle of the construction of vertical docks using prefabricated caissons in floating caissons, including design, optimization, construction, installation and operation.
PORTIO
This project aims to support the planning of adaptation strategies for ports to climate change through the development of methodologies that allow the estimation of the impacts of climate change at high resolution in the different areas of the port.
