Biography

Samuel Sainz Villegas is a Graduate in Environmental Sciences by the University of Leon and a MSc in Integrated Management of Water Systems by the Universidad de Cantabria. He is currently working on his PhD thesis focused on developing hybrid distribution models of seaweeds under different global change scenarios, granted by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (Ref.: FPU18/03573). His lines of research are focused on the study of marine macroalgae distribution patterns through the use of advanced statistical analysis, species distribution models and biological experimentation.
