Laro González Canoura
Biography
Laro holds a MA in Political Studies from the University of Aberdeen (Scotland, 2000) and a MPhil in Public Administration from the University of Bergen (Norway, 2020). With more than 15 years of experience in management of humanitarian aid and cooperation programmes and projects in governance, human rights, sustainability, and local development, mainly in Southeast Asia, East Africa, Maghreb and Balkans. In 2021 he joined IHCantabria as part of the European Projects team, providing support to projects of the European Commission’s Framework Programme “Horizon Europe”.
Currently, Laro is a technologist in the Climate Risk, Adaptation and Resilience Group, with emphasis on the Cultural Heritage sector, as well as the integration of Social Science aspects in climate risk assessment.
