Civil Engineer and Master in Coastal and Port Engineering from the University of Cantabria. Before directing his career towards research in the field of offshore engineering and marine renewable energies, he developed his professional experience in the international consultancy sector. From Dubai, he participated in the modeling and design of large-scale coastal infrastructures in projects located in the Middle East, Africa and Asia. These include Jaumur Marina (Saudi Arabia), NISI Islands Development (Abu Dhabi) and the Port of Luanda (Angola), where he used advanced numerical modeling tools for hydrodynamic analysis and technical design.

He currently works as a predoctoral researcher in the Offshore Engineering and Marine Energy Group at the Institute of Environmental Hydraulics at the University of Cantabria (IHCantabria).
