Coastal engineering and management
The Coastal management and engineering group is a multidisciplinary team that studies the behaviour of coastal zones and how they evolve in response to the main natural and anthropogenic threats so as to propose sustainable mechanisms to protect and manage coastal areas.
Its main interest is to research and develop methodologies and tools to characterize and diagnose coastal processes and for integrated coastal planning, including the management and evaluation of natural and anthropogenic risks in coastal areas.
Its knowledge is applied in collaboration and cooperation projects worldwide that establish alliances in the search for a sustainable future for coastal areas on a global scale.
