Biography

María José Bueno Muñoz has been a member of the Offshore Engineering and Marine Energy group and of IHCantabria since 2023. She graduated in Industrial Design Engineering and Product Development, from the University of Extremadura (2020), taking one of her years at the University of Malaga (2018).

She started her professional career as an Industrial Design Engineer, mainly working on the design and production of different manufacturing tools, in order to optimize the internal manufacturing system of the organization where she worked. She also collaborated with this same organization for his Final Degree Project. This professional experience was what made her want to deepen and broaden her knowledge in the world of projects and pursue her Master’s Degree in Project Management and Direction at the University of Extremadura (2022).

She currently participates in projects for the development of services, products and innovative methodologies (R+D+i), both national and international, in which her main tasks are CAD and CAE modeling, generation and preparation of technical documentation for the project, calculations of floating structures, calculations of mooring systems and analysis of the results of tests and experiments mainly oriented to the calculation of offshore structures and offshore wind power. She also collaborates in the development of research projects and in the dissemination of their results, as well as assisting the principal investigator in the direction, control and supervision of the projects.

AREAS OF SPECIALIZATION

Development of innovative services, products and methodologies (R+D+i), from CAD and CAE modeling, generation and elaboration of technical documentation for the project.

Performing calculations of floating structures, calculations of mooring systems and analysis of test and experiment results, oriented to the calculation of offshore structures and offshore wind power.
