LUCIANA BADANO PATIÑO
Biography
Luciana holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Universidad de la República (Uruguay) and a Master’s degree in Environmental Technology from the Universidad de Huelva, obtained with a scholarship from the Asociación Universitaria Iberoamericana de Postgrado. She worked at the Ministry of Environment of Uruguay and at the Institute of Fluid Mechanics and Environmental Engineering of the University of the Republic, mainly in hydrological modelling, water quality and integrated environmental assessment.
She is currently working as a technologist in the Oceanography, Estuaries and Water Quality group, working on a project belonging to the Marine Sciences Programme, on tasks related to hydrodynamic and microbiological pollution modelling for the development of a warning system for bathing water quality in the Bay of Santander and adjacent areas.
