Biography
Javier D铆ez Sierra has a degree in Civil Engineering and a Master in Coastal and Port Engineering from the Universidad de Cantabria. He is currently working as a predoctoral researcher at the Environmental Hydraulics Institute of the Universidad de Cantabria (IHCantabria) where he is doing his doctoral thesis in the field of hydrology and hydrometeorology.
Since joining IHCantabria (2013) Javier has participated in numerous competitive and non-competitive projects related to risk analysis in the face of the effects of climate change. In them he has carried out tasks mainly related to the characterization and analysis of the present and future climate for different environmental variables such as precipitation, temperature, waves, and storm surge, among others.
His research curriculum includes publications in scientific journals indexed in the SCI as well as numerous contributions to congresses.
