Biography

Technologist in the research group “Climate risks, adaptation and resilience”. Her work focuses mainly on coastal impact assessment through modelling and simulation of coastal flooding and erosion events.

She obtained her degree in Chemical Engineering in 2016 at the University of Santiago de Compostela, where she participated in an exchange programme with the Politecnico di Milano (Italy) during the academic year 2014-2015.

Subsequently, she continued her studies at the University of Barcelona, obtaining the degree of Master in Chemical Engineering with Extraordinary Prize in 2018.

Due to her interest in the environment and climate change, she continued her training in 2020 with a Master’s Degree in Protected Natural Spaces, jointly organised by three universities of the Autonomous Community of Madrid.

During the last few years, she has been working in private enterprise where she has been dedicated to the optimisation of engineering processes through the automation of operations and where she has also coordinated different types of climate change adaptation projects.

This broad and multidisciplinary background, both in the field of engineering and the environment, allows her to apply his knowledge and work experience in projects associated with the modelling and simulation of engineering problems related to climate change.

SPECIALIZATION TOPICS

Some of her lines of specialization, in addition to the analysis of coastal erosion and flooding at different scales and climate change scenarios, are the identification and treatment of coastal defenses and their incorporation into large-scale flood modeling, a topic on who is carrying out her Doctoral Thesis.
