Biography

Edén Hoya Rodríguez has a degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Salamanca, where, in addition to the degree, he carried out numerous activities as an environmental volunteer and participated in academic debates during his student training. Subsequently, he studied a master’s degree in Agrobiotechnology at the University of Salamanca, at the CIALE Research Center, where his annual project and TFM focused on studying how flooding affects wheat with strains of different fungi, to see if these microorganisms helped the plant in this extreme environment. Subsequently, he worked in the local administration, in the City Council of Laredo, as an assistant senior environmental technician; in addition to performing the common tasks of this position, he gave environmental training to the workers of the City Council. Currently, he works as a technologist at IHCantabria, in the Coastal Ecosystems group.
