Biography

César Antonio Pérez Quintana is a Telematics Engineer (2011, IPN-Mexico), Master in Physics (2013, CINVESTAV-Mexico) and PhD in Physical Oceanography (2023, CICESE-Mexico). He has more than 10 years of experience in software development, specializing in backend applications, data processing and machine learning. Throughout his career, he has had the opportunity to use these tools in scientific applications, and he has learned that being interdisciplinary is essential to solve complex problems.

He is currently part of the Oceanography, Estuaries and Water Quality group, at IHCantabria, where he is developing the new version of the IH-TESEO model(https://ihcantabria.com/specialized-software/english-teseo/), as well as supporting simulations of pollutant discharges (e.g., pellets, oil) in the ocean and estuaries.
