box_shadow_blur_tablet=&#8221;40px&#8221; box_shadow_spread_tablet=&#8221;0px&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]El Instituto de Hidr\u00e1ulica Ambiental de la Universidad de Cantabria (<a href=\"https:\/\/ihcantabria.com\/\">IHCantabria<\/a>) ha concluido recientemente el proyecto SHEVEX, con el que ha desarrollado nuevas formulaciones y herramientas que permiten dise\u00f1ar soluciones h\u00edbridas y soluciones basadas en la naturaleza (SbN) para adaptarse al cambio clim\u00e1tico en el litoral. Los avances que propone ofrecen una alternativa eficaz y sostenible en contextos donde las SbN no son suficientes para reducir los riesgos asociados al cambio clim\u00e1tico y donde las soluciones h\u00edbridas, soluciones que combinan soluciones convencionales con SbN, pueden representar la soluci\u00f3n \u00f3ptima.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Un avance en la adaptaci\u00f3n costera\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>El proyecto SHEVEX \u2014acr\u00f3nimo de \u201cSoluciones h\u00edbridas para la protecci\u00f3n costera ante eventos clim\u00e1ticos extremos\u201d\u2014 ha dado respuesta a una necesidad urgente: la protecci\u00f3n de zonas costeras vulnerables a la subida del nivel del mar y al aumento de la frecuencia e intensidad de temporales. Durante m\u00e1s de tres a\u00f1os, el equipo investigador ha trabajado en la caracterizaci\u00f3n de eventos extremos, la parametrizaci\u00f3n de las soluciones h\u00edbridas y el desarrollo de herramientas de dise\u00f1o que permiten evaluar su viabilidad de acuerdo con las normativas vigentes de ingenier\u00eda mar\u00edtima.<\/p>\n<p>Uno de los hitos del proyecto ha sido la realizaci\u00f3n de dos campa\u00f1as experimentales en el Canal de Corriente-Oleaje-Tsunami (COCOTSU), una Instalaci\u00f3n Cient\u00edfico-T\u00e9cnica Singular (ICTS) de IHCantabria, donde se analizaron las respuestas de distintas configuraciones de soluciones h\u00edbridas ante condiciones de oleaje extremo. Estos experimentos proporcionaron datos clave para el dise\u00f1o de soluciones que integran funciones de protecci\u00f3n con beneficios ambientales y sociales.<\/p>\n<p><strong>El papel de las soluciones h\u00edbridas\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hist\u00f3ricamente, las estructuras convencionales \u2014como diques o espigones\u2014 han sido la primera opci\u00f3n en la protecci\u00f3n costera. Sin embargo, sus limitaciones frente al cambio clim\u00e1tico y su menor integraci\u00f3n con el entorno han impulsado la b\u00fasqueda de alternativas m\u00e1s resilientes. En este contexto, las soluciones basadas en la naturaleza que incluyen ecosistemas como praderas submarinas o humedales, han ganado protagonismo por su capacidad de aportar servicios ecosist\u00e9micos y beneficios culturales. No obstante, en zonas de alto riesgo o con espacio limitado para la implementaci\u00f3n de estas soluciones, estas medidas no resultan suficientes, lo que justifica la necesidad de combinar infraestructuras grises y verdes en soluciones h\u00edbridas.<\/p>\n<p>Las formulaciones y herramientas de dise\u00f1o desarrolladas en SHEVEX ofrece un marco para evaluar la viabilidad de estas soluciones. Cantabria (<a href=\"https:\/\/ihcantabria.com\/\">IHCantabria<\/a>) ha concluido recientemente el proyecto SHEVEX, con el que ha desarrollado nuevas formulaciones y herramientas que permiten dise\u00f1ar soluciones h\u00edbridas y soluciones basadas en la naturaleza (SbN) para adaptarse al cambio clim\u00e1tico en el litoral. Los avances que propone ofrecen una alternativa eficaz y sostenible en contextos donde las SbN no son suficientes para reducir los riesgos asociados al cambio clim\u00e1tico y donde las soluciones h\u00edbridas, soluciones que combinan soluciones convencionales con SbN, pueden representar la soluci\u00f3n \u00f3ptima.<\/p><p><strong>Un avance en la adaptaci\u00f3n costera\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><p>El proyecto SHEVEX \u2014acr\u00f3nimo de \u201cSoluciones h\u00edbridas para la protecci\u00f3n costera ante eventos clim\u00e1ticos extremos\u201d\u2014 ha dado respuesta a una necesidad urgente: la protecci\u00f3n de zonas costeras vulnerables a la subida del nivel del mar y al aumento de la frecuencia e intensidad de temporales. Durante m\u00e1s de tres a\u00f1os, el equipo investigador ha trabajado en la caracterizaci\u00f3n de eventos extremos, la parametrizaci\u00f3n de las soluciones h\u00edbridas y el desarrollo de herramientas de dise\u00f1o que permiten evaluar su viabilidad de acuerdo con las normativas vigentes de ingenier\u00eda mar\u00edtima.<\/p><p>Uno de los hitos del proyecto ha sido la realizaci\u00f3n de dos campa\u00f1as experimentales en el Canal de Corriente-Oleaje-Tsunami (COCOTSU), una Instalaci\u00f3n Cient\u00edfico-T\u00e9cnica Singular (ICTS) de IHCantabria, donde se analizaron las respuestas de distintas configuraciones de soluciones h\u00edbridas ante condiciones de oleaje extremo. Estos experimentos proporcionaron datos clave para el dise\u00f1o de soluciones que integran funciones de protecci\u00f3n con beneficios ambientales y sociales.<\/p><p><strong>El papel de las soluciones h\u00edbridas\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p><p>Hist\u00f3ricamente, las estructuras convencionales \u2014como diques o espigones\u2014 han sido la primera opci\u00f3n en la protecci\u00f3n costera. Sin embargo, sus limitaciones frente al cambio clim\u00e1tico y su menor integraci\u00f3n con el entorno han impulsado la b\u00fasqueda de alternativas m\u00e1s resilientes. En este contexto, las soluciones basadas en la naturaleza que incluyen ecosistemas como praderas submarinas o humedales, han ganado protagonismo por su capacidad de aportar servicios ecosist\u00e9micos y beneficios culturales. No obstante, en zonas de alto riesgo o con espacio limitado para la implementaci\u00f3n de estas soluciones, estas medidas no resultan suficientes, lo que justifica la necesidad de combinar infraestructuras grises y verdes en soluciones h\u00edbridas.<\/p><p>Las formulaciones y herramientas de dise\u00f1o desarrolladas en SHEVEX ofrece un marco para evaluar la viabilidad de estas soluciones.
