The award-winning work addresses the challenge of designing maritime structures under the action of tsunamis. It presents for the first time formulations for the design of docks on slopes, incorporating for the first time the loads that this natural phenomenon can generate in its impact on the structure and its shoulder. This work is part of the studies carried out by \u00cd\u00f1igo during his doctorate. The Doctoral Thesis was carried out at the Institute of Environmental Hydraulics of the Universidad de Cantabria (IHCantabria), under the direction of Mauricio Gonz\u00e1lez and C\u00e9sar Vidal.<\/p>\n
