Naroa Ont\u00edbero Bermejo graduated in Environmental Sciences with a major in Applied Technologies for Sustainability from the University of Alcal\u00e1 de Henares (2023). She also completed a Master’s Degree in Environmental Contamination and Toxicology at the University of the Basque Country (2024). <\/p>\n
During her undergraduate studies she did an internship at INIA-CSIC, where she collaborated in the GRENNESS project “Green environmental analysis: new solvents, materials and devices” (2022-2026), of the State Research Agency-Ministry of Science and Innovation. Subsequently, she carried out her Master’s thesis (“Study of the blue mussel microbiome: deciphering the accumulation of granulocytomas in digestive glands”) at the Plentzia<\/em> Marine Station (PIE), with mussel samples from the GRACE-Oil Project (2016-2019), funded by the European Union HORIZON2020. <\/p>\nCurrently, Naroa is a predoctoral researcher in the Oceanography, Estuaries and Water Quality group, where she is developing a doctoral thesis focused on the development of a methodology for the analysis of pollution caused by accidental spills of alternative marine fuels.<\/p>\n
