Cantabria. He has developed an intense research career, as well as promoted and facilitated the transfer of knowledge and technology through the development of public-private partnership projects in the fields of offshore engineering and renewable energies in the marine environment. His research activity combines basic and applied research. With more than 55 publications, of which 25 are in Q1 journals, he has participated in numerous first level congresses such as OMAE. He has directed and\/or participated in 7 European projects, as well as in 20 national projects of the RETOS or INNPACTO type. He has also participated and\/or directed more than 30 technology transfer projects for companies and national and international administrations.<\/p>\n As a result of his activity, has reached a high level of specialization in the development of tools and specialized methodologies for the study of fluid-structure interaction and in particular in the field of offshore engineering and marine renewable energies. He is currently co-author of 9 patents on devices related to wave power, offshore wind, offshore aquaculture and has pending the publication of a tenth related to new laboratory techniques for the simulation of aerodynamic loads in floating turbines. The vast majority of its patents are licensed and transferred to industry.<\/p>\n His research is characterized by a great capacity for multidisciplinary integration of knowledge. It stands out for its strong specialization in numerical and experimental methods for the study of the dynamic behavior of floating and fixed structures under the action of different environmental actions. His research has also been characterized by a strong practical orientation and adapted to the needs of society.<\/p>\n He is currently a reviewer in 4 journals, specialist reviewer of national and international R+D+i projects, Member of the technical committee of the National Conference on Marine Renewable Energies (JERME’17), as well as of the bi-annual international congress RENEW 2018. He is also Co-chair in the organization of the international congress OMAE – International Conference on Ocean Offshore & Arctic Engineering in Madrid in 2018 (with more than 1200 attendees) and
