Elena Setién
Biography
BA in Journalism (UCM, 2013) and MA in International Information and Southern Countries (UCM, 2013), International Development Cooperation (UC, 2016), Security, Crisis and Emergency Management (FOG, 2017), and Feminist Gender Studies (UNAM, 2018).
Before joining IHCantabria's communication service, I worked in human rights, social cohesion, and sustainability both in the public sector (state and regional governments and university) and in NGOs in Spain, Brazil, Ghana, India, and Guatemala, which has given me invaluable lessons and better friendships.
I am interested in proposals for eco-social transformation: from the management of development cooperation projects as a driving force for change, to communication as a strategic tool for community impact, through areas such as knowledge management and education for global citizenship.
