Biography
Aina Garc铆a G贸mez is chemist by the University of Illes Balears and PhD for the Universidad de Cantabria. Nowadays, Aina is working as technologist at IHCantabria.
Aina has published 19 scientific papers, 7 books and book chapters and 36 abstracts and proceedings. She has developed the technical and scientific coordination of national and international projects. She is the responsible of the MOOC "ROM 5.1 Port water quality" (with more than 10,000 students enrolled), awarded by a Special recognition of the 1st Ibero-American Award Miriada X-Ibero-American General Secretariat (2014).
Aina has supervised 2 doctoral thesis (one awarded by the Modesto Vigueras 2018 Prize from the Spanish section of PIANC) and 9 masters鈥 thesis (one awarded by Modesto Vigueras 2016 Prize). Co-author of the Spanish National Port Recommendation of 鈥淩OM 5.1 Quality of coastal waters in port areas鈥. Member of the Organizing Committee of the XVII Congress of the Iberian Association of Limnology (2014). Technical secretariat of the Working Group Port Water Management in the framework of the PROTECMA technological platform (Protection of the Coast and the Marine Environment) since 2010.
