1. What cookies are and why we use them

A cookie is a file that is downloaded to a user’s electronic device when accessing certain websites in order to store and retrieve information regarding the websites that are visited from that device.

Cookies allow said website, among other things, to store and retrieve information regarding the user’s decisions and habits. At our company we use them to customize the experience within our websites, identify and remember the registered user and make navigation easier.

It is important to note that the use of cookies does not provide personal data on the user, who remains anonymous.

The user can set up their browser to not accept the use of cookies, in which case the experience would not be customized, although they can still access the contents of our websites normally.

There is more information on what cookies are and how they work on the Wikipedia page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_cookie).

  1. What kinds of cookies do we use?

Statistical analysis cookies:

These cookies allow us to tally the number of visitors and do a statistical analysis of how users employ our services. Thanks to this, we can study website browsing and thus improve the range of products and services we offer.

Technical and preference cookies:

These cookies allow us to control certain aspects related to a user’s session so that we can improve the browsing experience on the website. For example:

  • They allow us to recognize the user’s language.
  • They block or hinder attacks against the site or its users.
  • They help us provide functioning multimedia content.
  • They improve performance and allow the site’s traffic to be distributed between several servers.

For more information, please check the Cookie Usage Guide published by the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
