Cantabria Coastal and Ocean Basin (CCOB)

The Cantabria Coastal and Ocean Basin (CCOB) is part of the Singular Scientific-Technological Infrastructures programme of the Ministry of Science and Innovation, in which the Autonomous Community of Cantabria participates as a funding body and the Environmental Hydraulics Institute of Cantabria Foundation, which is in charge of managing the facilities.

The CCOB is part of MARHIS, Maritime Aggregated Research Hydraulic Infrastructures, a distributed research infrastructure of the Spanish Government, unique in the hydraulic engineering field. It aims to increase the efficiency and capability of Spanish numerical, experimental and field facilities for applications to coastal, harbour, offshore engineering and the many interactions between structures and marine climatic factors.
