SARA SANZ SÁENZ
Biography
Sara is a Project Engineer of the Marine Climate and Climate Change Group since September 2019. She participates in the realization of national and international projects within the scope of risks associated to long-term and extreme climate events, developing methodologies for the evaluation of the impacts and risks related to climate change.
After obtaining her degree in Civil Engineering in 2016 at the University of Cantabria, where she participated in an excellence exchange program with Cornell University (NY, USA), she continued her studies there to obtain her Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering in 2020. She also obtained an engineering diploma from the École des Ponts Paristech (Paris, France) through a double degree exchange program from the Master’s degree in Civil Engineering at the Universidad de Cantabria.
She has experience in maritime and port engineering, having participated in international projects with companies in the Netherlands and France, including technical proposals, port master plans, wind and wave climate studies, dynamic ship mooring analysis, design and construction processes of maritime works.
