Biography

Degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in hydrology and hydraulics from the University of Castilla La Mancha (2010 – 2014) and a master’s degree in civil engineering from the Universidad de Cantabria (2014-2016).

Salvador, who is currently technologist in the Marine Climate and Climate Change Group, began his career at IHCantabria during the development of his final master’s thesis, in which he had the opportunity to open up in the world of research by developing a new methodology for the study of floods accompanied by our most veteran researchers, experts in hydrology. This work was presented to the call for the first national competition of master’s degree projects of the College of Civil Engineers, obtaining the prize for the project with the best quality and content.

In addition, this work has been presented in the Water Engineering Conference 2017 and in the 5th IAHR Europe Congress 2018.

Salvador continues to work on international projects carrying out hydrological studies, flood studies and analysis of the vulnerability of hydroelectric power plants to climate change.
