Biography

Elsa Cacho Taeño holds a degree in Geography from the Universidad de Cantabria and a degree in Engineering in Geodesy and Cartography from the University of Alcalá de Henares (Madrid). In addition, she has specific training, including doctoral studies at the University of Alcalá de Henares, in the handling of geospatial tools and their application in the field of natural hazards such as photogrammetry, geographic information systems and remote sensing. She is currently working in the Hydraulic Engineering Group of the Environmental Hydraulics Institute (IHCantabria), participating in different international projects related to the assessment of vulnerability and risk in the face of natural hazards such as floods or landslides.
