Biography

Andrés Martínez works as a technologist in the Oceanography, Estuaries and Water Quality Group since August 2020.

Andrés has a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Cantabria, where he participated in the Erasmus+ program, with a stay at VIA University College (Denmark). He also holds a Master’s degree in Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering from the University of Aalborg (Denmark) and a Master’s degree in Integrated Water Systems Management from the University of Cantabria. He has received in 2021 the First Prize for the best TFM in Water Engineering, awarded by the University Institute for Water and Environmental Engineering Research (IIAMA), for his work: “Methodology for the evaluation of the contamination hazard due to accidental oil spills caused by deep blowouts in offshore installations. Application in the North Sea.”
