Civil Engineer from EIA University, Colombia (2011) and a master’s degree in Coastal and Port Engineering from Universidad de Cantabria (2014). He is currently predoctoral researcher of the Coastal Engineering and Management group at IHCantabria, where he develops his PhD thesis focused on the numerical modeling of shoreline evolution, considering cross-shore and longshore sedimentary processes.
Since joining the IHCantabria (2014), he has participated in numerous competitive and non-competitive projects, both national and international, related to the study of coastal processes, littoral dynamics and beach morphodynamics. He has also collaborated in the development of the Coastal Modeling System (SMC) for Brazil and is responsible for the management of the SMC E-Learning course. In terms of scientific dissemination, Camilo has participated both in the publication of different articles of indexed journals, as well as in contributions to congresses in the field of Coastal Engineering.
