The LIFE ADAPTA BLUES project launches its 1st competition Adaptation to climate change on the coast – Nature as an ally.

The objective is to make schoolchildren aware of the effects of climate change on the coast and the possible measures for adaptation, conservation and restoration of estuarine ecosystems.

The contest is aimed at students of Compulsory Secondary Education and Baccalaureate of all schools in Cantabria.

Participants must submit a work (illustration, collage, model, video) in which they present a possible adaptation measure against the effects of climate change in one of the estuaries of Cantabria, which may be submitted until January 28, 2022.

Registrations can be made on the official website of the competition (https://concurso.lifeadaptablues.eu/) or by sending an e-mail to adaptablues@lifeadaptablues.eu, until October 15, 2021.

The winners will be able to enjoy a theory class on wave formation at the IHCantabria facilities, and a surf class for the students of the winning group of the contest.
