The facilities available for use at IH Cantabria allow different applications associated with the study of  hydrodynamics pertaining to the coastal zone,  infrastructure design, coastal and harbor defense mechanisms, coastal erosion, dredging, new construction techniques in the marine environment, marine foundation problems; analysis of underwater technologies, design of offshore structures, design of anchors; floating structures; platforms; study on the reliability and design of ROVs, AUVs, buoys, obtaining energy systems of the marine environment (waves, currents) database design offshore, offshore wind farms and in general, any activity in the field of marine engineering (offshore and coastal) requiring physical  and / or numerical modeling.
